INSTANT TAKEAWAYS

1 | WHERE DOES YOUR STRENGTH COME FROM?

It’s really important to remember where we are rooted in our lives. Like the title of this podcast, we must have a true anchor to keep us in place as life, Satan, and anything else throws everything they can at us to waiver us. When we don’t know where to draw our strength from, where to put down anchor, we can quickly become lost. Remember, as Job did (even when his wife, his friends, and almost everyone else around him questioned him) he stayed true in what he believed. He knows he could put all of his faith and trust in the Lord, and the Lord stayed true to Job.

I lift up my eyes to the mountains—where does my help come from? My help comes from the Lord, the Maker of heaven and earth. | Psalm 121:1-2

2 | YOU WERE DESIGNED BY A CREATIVE GOD

It’s true! Our God designed each and every one of us with passion, creativity, and drive. There is an incredible quote by Mike Rimero that says:

“Here’s the truth: It’s impossible to lack creativity while standing in the presence of the creator. The Lord has graced us with an intrinsic ability to create. To design beauty from nothing. To write, to draw, to build, to sing and to dance for something and someone bigger than ourselves…” | Mike Rimero

As you read through the Psalms, it becomes incredibly clear that we are creations by a God who wants us to be spontaneous, whimsical, and intentional with what we build and what we breathe life in to. Creativity is so much of what gives life joy and meaning and He wants us to have that! Whatever you’ve been gifted with, or whatever you’re passionate about, do it with all of your heart. Artists should dance, paint, write and sing without fear of who is watching. God is watching, and He is proud.
