Our desire is to see kids become more like Jesus and join him on mission as they engage with God’s Word, form healthy friendships and apply Biblical truths to everyday life. We have an incredible staff and serve team who are excited to know your kids by name and partner with you as we guide them to be lifelong followers of Jesus.

Every weekend, we create safe, intentional, creative and fun environments to equip kids to be lifelong followers of Jesus and to begin to understand the Bible with all their heart, soul and mind.

We are excited to meet your family! When you arrive at Mission Hills, head to the Kids Welcome Counter (near Kids Sidewalk) where we will greet your family and ask for some basic contact information before directing you to the kids’ assigned classroom. We recommend arriving 15 minutes prior to the start of service to give you plenty of time to register.
We assign kids to classrooms according to their birthdate or grade in school. You will receive a nametag for your child and a corresponding pick-up tag to provide at the end of service for security purposes. If we need to reach you during the service, we will send a text message to your phone.

Come be part of the community that influences the future of the next generation. We’d love to have you serve with us in Kids Ministry! In all of our serving areas, we help kids experience God in age-appropriate ways through worship, large group Bible stories, and small group activities. It’s a fun and easy way to invest in the next generation. Sign up today!

We encourage every parent who has kids in our ministry to serve with us in some capacity or another. We have a variety of roles to choose from.

Each room is designed to engage kids’ hearts at their age or developmental level to make friends, laugh, learn, play, and worship together. Each month we unpack one simple truth, even at the youngest of ages. We know that the early years can be challenging so we want to come alongside parents and help encourage and equip you to be the spiritual leaders of your home.

Our goal is to create a place of joy that is safe, engaging, intentional, and filled with energy where preschoolers can develop a sense of belonging through relationships and learn more about who God is. We introduce our small group / large group model at this age where kids can begin building consistent relationships with their friends and small group leaders. We also unpack one new simple truth each month, as preschoolers begin to understand their identity in Christ and how they can trust Him.

Our goal is to create a place where kids want to be every weekend, where learning about the Bible is never boring, lessons are rooted in Scripture, worship is full of energy and passion, friendships are formed, and connections are made with leaders who care.

Our curriculum is designed to help every kid connect with friends on a deeper level and feel included in a small group. We unpack a brand new simple truth each month for elementary-age kids to make their faith more personal and understand their identity in Christ. Our approach is still centered around the small group / large group model, where kids can build strong relationships with their leaders.

By the time elementary-age kids graduate and move on to middle school, we want them to know that their identity is in Christ, make wiser decisions based on Biblical truths, build stronger relationships, and have a firm faith foundation that points them and those around them to Jesus.

We strive to meet the needs of kids, birth – 5th grade, who need extra assistance by matching them with a “Buddy,” a trained serve team member who will get to know you and your child and provide needed assistance during service. We desire for you and your child to experience faith-filled, authentic inclusion.

Kids that require extra care while at church will be matched with a buddy to participate in activities, both in small and large group environments, according to their own potential. Our goal is to connect each child with a buddy to meet specific needs while attending church.

The Buddy Ministry will be available for families during the 9:15 and 11 AM services, as trained serve team are available.

Awana offers a fun, proven approach for early evangelism and discipleship. Scripture-based programs and exciting games attract families, promote Bible literacy, and help kids develop lifelong faith in Christ.

Mission Hills Early Learning Center is an accredited preschool that is dedicated to the spiritual, emotional, physical, social, and intellectual development of children through innovative education. The Early Learning Center (ELC) exists to influence a child’s world for God by creating experiences for preschoolers to grow spiritually and developmentally.

Child Dedication

Parent-Child Dedication allows us to partner with families as they commit to raising their kids to follow Jesus. This is a parent-led decision that serves as a stepping stone to the child-led decision of baptism as the child grows in their faith.

Our 2023 Child Dedication services are scheduled for May 13 and November 4.

Is your child starting to express curiosity about Jesus by asking questions about faith? Has your child recently said “YES” to following Jesus and asking questions about baptism? Then the Discovering Jesus for Kids class is their next step! Join our next class that will introduce kids to the basics of faith and guide them to begin their journey of becoming more like Jesus and joining him on mission.

This class is required for any 2nd – 5th grade student who wants to be baptized. Our 2023 classes will be offered on Sundays at 9:15 AM on August 27 and November 12.
