1 | Positivity is a Choice

Justin and Jerry discuss the importance of staying positive at the beginning of the episode. The world so often is calling out to us to look at the worst-case scenario, our flesh wants to see the negatives in everything. But that isn’t what our Savior intended for us. Turn off the news, stop feeding that area of your life that makes you spiral into that negativity, it’s a lie from the enemy. Jerry references Ephesians 4:29:

2 | Make an Effort

Jerry talks about a little day-timer/journal he has at home where he keeps track of friends and family that he wants to build up. We often don’t know what’s going on in the hearts of those around us, often that’s between them and God. But we can make that effort to be a positive influence in their lives! Reach out to a friend, coworker, neighbor, family member, and just try to build them up each day. It doesn’t have to be big, little things matter too. That can look like a text, a phone call, Venmo’ing them $5 for Starbucks, anything really. Be the light on the hill Jesus called us to be.
