INSTANT TAKEAWAYS

1 | Evaluation vs Resolution

Where are you at now? What has God walked you through? What is He preparing you for? How can you grow and learn from what you have already walked through? What goals would I like to set for myself, or family for next year?

2 | Make peace with “the list”

The list of things to do will always exist. As you mark things off, new things will be added. Focusing on accomplishing it all will leave you feeling exhausted and not fulfilled. Be wise in the moment on what needs to be accomplished and when you need to rest. The “hustle” is overrated.

3 | Are we asking the right questions?

Instead of asking each other how we are doing, or what have we accomplished; we can ask what have you been doing to relax?

4 | Resolutions > Goals

When creating goals make sure they are manageable and measurable. Shift your expectations from resolution to goals, with room for freedom to move in a new direction rather than achievement or mastery. This leaves space for God to work in your life.
