CraigSmith

Craig Smith, the new Senior Pastor of Mission Hills Church, is the executive director of the Shepherd Project, a non-profit team exploring critical intersections of faith and culture. He is passionate about teaching God’s Word in such a way that Christians are unleashed to be transformed and transformational. Craig holds an M.Div. from Denver Seminary and a Ph.D. in New Testament Studies from Trinity College, Bristol University, UK. He teaches New Testament and Theology courses at Denver Seminary and is the author of several books, including his latest release How (Not) to Miss God Moving.

Keith has been married to Jeannie for more than 30 years. They have five grown children. They live in Colorado and have lived in Colombia, Costa Rica and Chicago. They were high school sweethearts and grew up just outside of Philadelphia. Keith has been the Stewardship Pastor since 2005 at Mission Hills Church He is passionate about helping people be able to unleash their generosity and get out of their bondage to their “stuff”. In 2016 He also took on the role as the Pastor of Outreach and Evangelism helping people make an impact on the Kingdom. Prior to 2005 Keith served for 24 years with Youth for Christ. He served in Chicago, Costa Rica, Colombia and at the USA headquarters prior to ending his career as the Chief Operating Officer of YFC International.

Jon has been working at Mission Hills for over 8 years and is currently the Operations Executive Director overseeing Finance, Facilities, HR, IT, Security and ancillary businesses. He has worked in Finance for major telecommunication companies as well as investment banking here in the Denver area. Jon has been attending Mission Hills since 1999 and has been active in various areas at the church including Finance Team, Elder Board and Youth Ministries. Jon is married to Jeannette, and has 2 children, both attending college.

Danny Oertli is an accomplished singer, songwriter, and author, encouraging audiences for the last 25 years with songs and stories of God’s faithfulness. Combining inventive guitar work with stirring songwriting, Danny has performed worldwide, as well as, in all but two states (c’mon N. Dakota and S. Dakota!). Danny loves chocolate shakes but has never eaten ketchup, ever. He currently lives in Parker, CO, with his wife Rayna, their three children, and Tulo the insecure Labradoodle.

Shawn and Barbie work in children’s ministry at Mission Hills and host a life group in their home. Shawn also participates on the sermon based curriculum writing team and serves on the Finance and Facilities Committee. Shawn works in oil and gas finance.

I grew up in a Canadian grain farm family. Marian and I met in Saskatchewan, married 43 years ago and moved with our four children from Edmonton Alberta to Scottsdale Arizona and then to Denver and Mission Hills Church.

Our four children now live in New York, Pacific Palisades and Jasper (Alberta) with our youngest daughter and family recently moving from Guatemala to Denver. Three of our grandchildren are in California and three are in Canada.
Following a career with two large international construction companies I now provide consulting services to owner/developer clients.

Matthew’s recorded commandment to.….”go and make disciples”….has driven my current primary service commitments. I am a servant in Bible Study Fellowship with the privilege of leading a group of men in weekly prayer and intense Bible Study. Each year God provides the opportunity to disciple 15 men who range from devout believers to the unsaved. What a joy.

And I love serving the first graders in Club 66 at Mission Hills. Young hearts who are so excited to learn about the Bible. Praise God for how He will use these young ones who are learning to be disciples at such an early age.

Mark and his wife, Kathe, have been attending Mission Hills Church for over 25 years. Their spiritual journey began here in 1989, when they personally encountered the Holy Spirit and received the saving grace of Jesus Christ. They have two boys, Andrew and Timmy, who have grown up at the church and are now in college.

Mark is currently serving in his second term as a member of the elder board. He has been actively involved in leading Impact Player groups, as well as participating in a number of global and local outreach opportunities.

Mark is passionate about living out his faith beyond the walls of the church and “growing where he’s been planted”, whether at his place of business, in the community or in his home.

I grew up in a Christian home in Kansas City, Missouri with godly parents that loved and served the Lord. Prior to my 6th birthday, I accepted Jesus Christ as my Lord and Savior and was baptized at Bethany Baptist Church. I graduated in 1980 from a Christian High School in Tahlequah, Oklahoma and later graduated from the University of Missouri – Rolla in 1984 with a degree in Petroleum Engineering. In 1991, I married my wonderful wife, Sheila. We’ve been married for over 24 years and are blessed to have two beautiful daughters, Madison and Murphy, who are both in college.

I work for PDC Energy, an oil and gas company in Denver. Prior to moving to Denver, we lived in Houston where I worked for Anadarko Petroleum Corporation and attended Champion Forest Baptist Church from 1991 to 2006. At CFBC, I had the privilege to teach a young married Bible study class, serve on the Budget and Finance committee, and serve as a Deacon and as chairman of Deacons in 2003.

Our family joined Mission Hills in 2008 where I’ve been blessed with the opportunity to teach Bible study classes, lead men’s Impact Player groups, serve as an Elder and Elder Chairman in 2013. I currently serve on the pastor search committee. MHC has been a tremendous blessing to me and my family. The Lord is working in so many ways through so many different ministries at MHC. Transforming Lives. Period. – to Christ belongs all the praise and glory!

Tim Moehlenpah is the Branch Vice President, for CNA in Denver Colorado. In this role, Tim is responsible for business development, distribution management, profit & loss associated with $100M in “enterprise” written premium, produced in the states of Colorado, Utah, Nevada and Wyoming. Tim received his B.A. in History from Washington University in St. Louis in 1984 and his MBA from the University of Colorado in 2006. Tim has been married thirty-two years this past August to his wife Michelle and is the father of three married children and grandfather to two outstanding granddaughters. Tim and his wife Michelle have attended Mission Hills Church since 2001 serving in a number of capacities. This is the second term on the Elder Board for Tim and he is very active in Men’s Ministry specifically overseeing Impact Player Groups.

Joe and Sarah have been married for 15 years. They have 4 girls – Rachel 12, Bethany 8, Abigail 5, and Leah 2. Joe works in oil and gas for QEP Resources. Having grown up in Tulsa, Oklahoma, Joe and Sarah met in college and started life together there. Their ministry there included small groups, international missions, widows, and children’s ministry. 5 years ago, a job transfer brought them to Denver where they soon found Mission Hills Church. They have found MHC to be a great church family where they are ministered to and also able to serve. You can find Joe and Sarah serving in the parking ministry, international missions, small groups, and AWANA ministries.

Dave and his wife JoAnn began attending Mission Hills many moons ago when Pastor Clyde was the Senior Pastor. During this span of time, Dave has had the opportunity to serve God in a number of ways including stewardship board, carpenter’s sons, member and moderator of the Elders during Pastor Mike’s first three years, Impact Player leader, and Southwest Counseling Board member and president. Dave and JoAnn work at the food bank and also deliver for Meals on Wheels (where he also served as president of the board). In his free time, Dave loves to golf and fly fish. Dave feels the Elder Board is a group of very godly men, and is excited to again serve God and Mission Hills as an elder.

Michael Reagor has been married to Colorado native Cindy since 1990. Cindy is an accountant by training and currently works and volunteers at Skyview Academy, where their daughter Rachel is a junior. Their son Caleb attends Lipscomb University, Nashville, where he is pursuing degrees in math and cellular biology. Rachel helps lead in children’s ministries at Mission Hills. Mike has practiced law in Colorado since 1992. Mike has served on various non-profit boards, including STEM School and Academy and Christian Medical Mission to Cambodia/Jeremiah’s Hope. The Reagors have been attending Mission Hills for over six years and have been members for three years. Mike and Cindy fellowship with the Homebuilders group. Mike was baptized when he was 18. He has a passion to share Jesus in many different ways through his profession and volunteer and non-profit activities. Mike has helped lead in various adult Sunday School classes and in Mission Hills’ Impact Player program.

Ron and Martha have been attending Mission Hills since September 2006. Ron is Jewish and Martha was raised in a lukewarm mainline denomination. Neither really knew Christ until He began to awaken them in late 2005. They were baptized, along with their two adult children, Ben and Clare in late 2006 at Mission Hills. All four Rudmans were saved within a four month span. Ron team-teaches in the Foundations adult Sunday school class and leads the men’s mentoring ministry at Mission Hills.

Travis and his wife Brooke have been at Mission Hills since 2004 and have been married for 21 years. They have been serving in Kids Ministry and with Life Groups this entire duration (with Mission Hills, and all of their 21 years in prior church ministries). Travis also leads a Men’s Bible Study in his workplace with coworkers, and has done so for 10+ years. Travis previously served as a Mission Hills Elder, to include Vice Chair and Chair (2010-2012).

Travis and Brooke have four children (Rylee-17, Delaney-15, Garret-13, and Trevor-10) and are actively involved with the kids and their activities. As a family they love spending time in the mountains, beach locations when then can, and just having fun together as a family.

Travis is a Sr VP of Technology with a local Telecommunications company, overseeing SW Development. Title/job aside, Travis has a passion for ministry-in-the-workplace, applying a servant leadership approach.
