GROUP DESCRIPTION

Re|engage exists to help couples grow their marriage toward greater Christ-centeredness and health. Whether your marriage needs a little reigniting or a complete resurrection, re|engage will help you move closer to God and one another as you study God’s guidance for important marriage topics such as love, brokenness, grace, forgiveness, communication, and intimacy.

Alongside facilitators that care for you and couples on a similar journey, you will be able to share your struggles and victories as you work together toward the marriage God wants to bless you with.

Join re|engage any Monday night from 6:30 – 8:30 PM in The Garage for a time of large group worship and teaching, followed by marriage-changing small groups. Groups are facilitated by trained couples seeking Christ in their own marriage.

SMALL GROUP OPTIONS INCLUDE:

Newcomers | Learn more about re|engage to help decide if it’s right for your marriage. (no cost)

Open Group | Join other couples and facilitators anytime to discuss an important marriage concept and be given a small homework assignment to begin to work on. (no cost)

Closed Group | When you and your spouse are ready to join a Closed Group, we will connect you with a facilitator couple and 4-5 other couples to join you on the journey through the re|engage participant guide together. Once this group starts, you can expect it to last 4-6 months. ($30 for materials)

Please Note: re|engage will not be meeting on the following Mondays in 2026: February 16, March 16, April 6, May 25, June 8, September 7, November 23, December 21 and 28.

FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS

Where did re|engage originate?
The re|engage program was launched at Watermark Community Church in September 2008 and has since expanded to many churches nationwide. You can learn more about re|engage here.
Is re|engage marriage counseling?
Re|engage is not marriage counseling and the leaders are facilitators, not counselors. Some couples find that re|engage is sufficient for their needs, while other couples will seek out professional counseling and supplement their counseling with re|engage. Still others may decide that professional marriage counseling alone is what they need. Should you desire professional marriage counseling and need help finding services, we have a list of possible referrals at missionhills.org/referrals.
Will what I share at re|engage be confidential?
We believe that Scripture calls us to refrain from gossip and we ask all participants to adhere to the guideline that what is discussed in the group stays in the group. When necessary for collaboration and oversight, information may also be shared within the ministry team.

Information related to the endangerment of oneself or others, will be shared with Mission Hills staff and addressed under their leadership and as required by law. This includes any risk of suicide, violence towards others, and any information related to any form of abuse, neglect, or endangerment of a vulnerable party (child, disabled adult, adult over age 70).

How much time will Closed Group homework require each week?
Completion of the curriculum during Closed Group will take approximately 30-45 minutes each week. The time will vary, but re|engage is designed for a manageable weekly time commitment.
Can I attend re|engage without my spouse?
While coming together is ideal, anyone working on their marriage is welcome to attend our Large Group, Newcomers Group, and Open Group with or without their spouse. Closed Group is reserved for marriages where both spouses are fully committed to attendance and participation.
Is re|engage for couples who are separated?
Absolutely! There are separated and even divorced couples who have attended re|engage. While the outcome is based on what each individual is willing to do to save their marriage, the program provides a safe place to focus on what a healthy marriage looks like and provides tools to grow toward this goal.
