We want to encourage you to share your time with others—reaching out either at a one-time event or on an ongoing basis. Mission Hills is proactive about reaching out with Christ’s love to people in our own community. There are many opportunities to serve.
In order to be as effective as possible, we have four key focus areas.
Key Focus Area
Many world communities are caught in cycles which prevent them from hearing the Gospel. The most immediate need they face is often for clean water, food, and the ability to provide for their family. Jesus had a heart for people; He met the physical need before addressing the eternal. In meeting the most basic needs of those we serve, we earn the right to also share God’s love. By educating locals, teaching hygiene, providing access to clean water, establishing sustainable businesses, and creating jobs, we are part of community transformation.

The Life Center vision is Transforming Communities Period. We live this out by investing in one life at a time by sharing the hope and love of Christ while meeting immediate needs and providing long-term solutions to empower people to live the life that God has for them. We offer services including a language center, counseling, food bank, severe winter shelter, and more. (John 10:10)

Over 87% of the people in our communities do not know Christ. When we serve in our neighborhoods and cities, we not only share the transforming power of the Good News, but we also become more like Jesus. Join us in transforming lives and communities by serving with our local partners. Click a partner below to get involved!
ALTERNATIVES PREGNANCY CENTER
Serving Denver-area women, Alternatives seeks to educate clients and youth about abstinence before marriage and give those with an unplanned pregnancy an alternative to abortion. In addition, women with conflicted emotions about a past abortion are helped through post-abortion support groups. For more information, please contact Janice Sabin.
DENVER RESCUE MISSION
The Denver Rescue Mission is changing lives in the name of Christ by meeting people at their physical and spiritual points of need, with the goal of returning them to society as productive, self-sufficient citizens. For more information or to learn more about volunteer opportunities, contact Melanie Aronhalt or call the volunteer hotline at 303-953-3955.
DENVER STREET SCHOOL
The Denver Street School believes that a quality education is the most effective approach to transforming many underprivileged members of our society into productive citizens. They serve the population of students in the Denver metro area who have struggled with public school – either having dropped out or been expelled – helping them toward self-sufficiency through education. For more information, please contact Vicki Tanin.
INTERNATIONAL STUDENTS INC.
ISI is a nationwide friendship organization that offers help to international college students, scholars, and their families, helping them discover American life, improve their English, and more. We offer airport pickups, friendship partners, fun social activities, and spiritual discussions for those living in the Denver metro area.
