Listen in today as Justin and Danny talk to Jerry about stories of encouragement, triumph, and what it looks like to lead with a Christ-centered heart. Week 10 | Hebrews 12 & 13

We are in the final chapters of Hebrews where the author is calling these Hebrew Christians to faith and endurance by building on the great cloud of witnesses from Hebrews 11 and reminding them of their God who was faithful to them. In chapter 12, we see the push towards endurance in daily living until the Lord ushers in his completed kingdom someday. In chapter 13, we wrap up with concluding exhortations and remarks for this audience and we hone in on how they apply to us today.

Parental Survival Guide for a Pandemic

Right when I thought I had heard every crazy thing possible with regard to COVID 19, a few weeks ago I read a mind-numbing article online pertaining to an amusement park in Japan. According to the article, this amusement park began telling patrons that they had to wear a mask at all times and especially while riding the roller-coaster. They posted a sign at the beginning of the ride which read: “IF YOU FEEL THE NEED TO SCREAM, YOU MUST SCREAM IN YOUR HEART, NOT OUT LOUD”.

Waking Up to a New Reality

Imagine waking up. But rather than your typical experience of slowly opening your eyes as you gradually wake up, imagine that you are jarred awake suddenly.

You sense a queasiness in your stomach as you realize that your bed is swaying. Disoriented, you realize that books and pictures are unexpectedly falling from shelves. You hear glass shattering and a low, unrecognizable rumble, but you can’t quite identify the source. As a racing heartbeat quickly replaces the fog of sleep, you realize that you are in the midst of an earthquake.

Episode 6 | Ecclesiastes 7-8

Get ready, friends! We’re covering a lot of ground in today’s episode through Chapters 7-8. The Teacher continues to build on many themes we’ve seen already this season: God’s sovereignty, wisdom’s benefits and limitations, and the importance of trusting God for all that we can’t control. And we finally see a hint of the gospel in today’s text as the author identifies the heart of the problem of “life under the sun.” Let’s jump in!

Today we’re covering a lot of ground in our study of Ecclesiastes 4:1-5:7! And in the first part of Chapter 5, we look at the importance of our words before a holy God.

Today’s passage is a good one to read in a few different Bible translations, so take a minute and read through the NIV and ESV, then join us for the discussion!
