Serving with our partners around the globe
Every year we travel the world to be the hands and feet of Jesus while sharing His truth. Please consider joining us on a short-term mission trip or internship.
Key Focus Area
Many world communities are caught in cycles which prevent them from hearing the Gospel. The most immediate need they face is often for clean water, food, and the ability to provide for their family. Jesus had a heart for people; He met the physical need before addressing the eternal. In meeting the most basic needs of those we serve, we earn the right to also share God’s love. By educating locals, teaching hygiene, providing access to clean water, establishing sustainable businesses, and creating jobs, we are part of community transformation.

Short-Term Trips for 2017
India is one of the world’s oldest civilizations. Their vast history began thousands of years before Christ and spans many different empires. Despite struggling with overpopulation and corruption, they are emerging as a significant global influence. Only 2.3% of the 1.6 billion population in India profess to be Christians. The current government, elected in 2014, is highly unfavorable toward Christians and persecution is prevalent. Despite this hostility toward Christianity, the gospel continues to move and transform lives across the country.

Poland is a central European country of about 38 million people. The fall of communism and the rise of commercialization have dramatically changed the lives and the values of the Polish people, especially for the younger generation. While nearly 90% of the population still consider themselves Roman Catholic, attendance has declined 58% between 1989 and 2008. In contrast, Poland’s evangelical population remains small, making up less than 1% of the population and resulting in abundant opportunities for evangelism and outreach.

WOMEN’S LEADER TRAINING
Come serve alongside two of our longtime Polish partners, Iwona Eifling and Laura Hash, with Josiah Venture in Wroclaw in western Poland. The team will provide leadership training for local ministry leaders who encourage and disciple girls and women suffering from abandonment, sexual abuse, and alcoholic parents.
In a culture that lacks counseling resources and godly counsel for women who’ve lost hope, this young ministry has already had significant impact and is rapidly growing. This will not only help transform the lives of the women we serve, but is sure to transform your life as well.

There are three indigenous groups in the poverty-stricken Talamanca region: the Bribri, Cabecar, and KekoLdi. Talamanca is rooted in witchcraft, and the strong clan system heavily advocates for the use of shamans and witch-doctors. Patrimonial culture is also typical, and many of the men have open unions with several women, which is compounded by the communities problem of incest. Additionally, the majority of these indigenous people are illiterate.

South Africa has been inhabited for more than 100,000 years. Much of the history of South Africa, particularly of the colonial and post-colonial eras, is characterized by clashes of culture, violent territorial disputes between European settlers and indigenous people, dispossession, repression, and other racial and political tensions.

STORY OF TRANSFORMATION
“Each trip that I have taken has changed me. It has enlightened my mind and heart for women all over the world. I have discovered over and over again that women have the same needs, hopes, and desires no matter where they live. Once again seeing this come to life in Moldova impacted my heart that we need to head out beyond our borders to truly see and know what is happening in God’s world.” – Chris Ferrigno

Colorado boasts 300 days of sunshine and is home to championship sports teams, majestic mountain views, and some of the best sporting and outdoor destinations in the world. However, the Mile-High City is lost in a valley of spiritual darkness. Denver is one of the most unchurched cities in the entire nation, where 78% of the population does not self-identity as Christian. Drug and alcohol abuse in Colorado is among the highest in the United States, ranking as one of the top ten worst states in both categories.

Mission Hills partners with missionaries because we want to share the good news our neighbors next door and with those across the globe. Jesus said he came to seek and save the lost. During his time on earth, he served people – he taught them, fed them, healed them, and befriended them. We believe he is calling us to serve the lost in the same ways. Whether you decide to participate in a short-term trip, partner financially, or pray for our global missionaries, you can be part of what God is doing around the world.
Join us to further God’s kingdom, develop spiritually, and identify God’s calling on your life. In this 14-month internship program you will grow through consistent mentorship, intentional training, and a two-month local or overseas cross-cultural service project.
