Raha means “joy” in Swahili and we believe it is our responsibility to create a place of “joy” that is safe, engaging, and filled with energy, where kids actively participate in worship and experience God’s love.
What to Expect
RahaPlace offers curriculum created by Rethink Group (Orange), which gives kids a first impression of their Heavenly Father and the wonder of His love for each one of them. Each service includes curriculum-based activities, large group interactive worship, creative Bible stories told through live teachers or media, and playground and snack time, if time allows.
During the school year, 1st grade kids participate in Club 66 which is designed to teach Bible navigation and Bible basics while giving them a greater passion to know and understand the Bible with all their heart, soul, and mind.
Before they leave RahaPlace, we want them to know that:
GOD MADE ME | PSALM 139:13-14
GOD LOVES ME | ROMANS 8:38-39
JESUS WANTS TO BE MY FRIEND FOREVER | JOHN 3:16
If your child has any food allergies, please bring a separate snack, labeled with their name.
If anything other than animal crackers are offered during the weekend services, an allergy alert sign will be placed outside the classroom door.
If your child is potty training, please communicate that to the classroom greeter and provide a labeled bag with a pull-up and change of clothes.
After you have completed the check-in process, simply wave a quick goodbye and leave for the Worship Service. Our volunteers will calm the child and reassure them that you will return. We will text you if needed.
We promote according to birthdate or grade, once a year, the first weekend of June.
