the mill | WORSHIP VENUE
SUNDAYS | 9:15 AM
Downstairs at the Littleton Campus
In an effort to make room for more people to hear the Gospel, we revamped our youth room to make it into a smaller and more intimate environment. The Mill has live acoustic-style worship and a video message of that weekend’s sermon. This intentionally simplified experience is a place where you can meet new friends and reflect on the message over a cup of coffee together.
As the Communications Director, Kelly McSparran oversees all of the digital, print, and video communications at Mission Hills Church. She is able to blend both her background in marketing and her passion for reaching the lost with the gospel through this work. Kelly and her husband, Ryan, have been active members at Mission Hills for over a decade and have had family involved at Mission Hills for generations. She and Ryan have two kids, Nolan and Clara. Her hobbies formerly included hiking, mountain climbing, and backpacking around the world, but lately she spends most of her time cleaning goldfish crumbs out of her couch and looking for missing socks.
Rick Derbyshire serves as the Care Ministry Pastor and oversees Congregational and Staff care at the Littleton Campus of Mission Hills Church, as well as co-leads the Leadership Development Program that identifies and trains upcoming ministry leaders. He has extensive ministry experience and loves being involved in the community. Rick also stays busy as a Law Enforcement Chaplain for two police agencies – the Littleton Police Department and Jefferson County Sheriff’s Office. Rick and his wife, Sue, have been married for over 40 years. They have two children, both married, and four grandchildren. His hobbies include hiking, camping, golf, four-wheeling, shooting, archery, and playing with his grandchildren.
VENUE WORSHIP LEADER
Justin describes his style as a mixture of contemporary and contemplative, influenced by both indie rock and jazz with some classical elements sprinkled in, too. He and his high school sweetheart Karissa have three kids. He is passionate about bringing the church together to worship through music and loves to reinvigorate hymns in contemporary style. Don’t be afraid to ask him about his large collection of Bert (from Sesame Street) knick-knacks given to him by friends to commemorate Justin’s previous eyebrow style: the unibrow.
