New Worship Venue Launching April 23

In an effort to make room for more people to hear the Gospel, we’re going to revamp our youth room to make it into a smaller and more intimate environment. The Mill will have live acoustic-style worship and a video message of that weekend’s sermon. This intentionally simplified experience will be a place where you can meet new friends and reflect on the message over a cup of coffee together.

Venue Staff for The Mill

ShannonPopp

SHANNON POPP

Venue Host

Shannon has been on staff as the High School Pastor since 2013. He and his wife Ginger have two daughters and a son. He is a Colorado native who loves to snowboard and teach God’s word to students and adults through story to help them grasp the transforming truth of the Gospel.

ChrisHall

CHRIS HALL

Venue Host

Chris joined our church and has been volunteering since 2016. He and his wife Kelly have one two-year old daughter and a son on the way. Chris has his Masters of Divinity from Denver Seminary and was a pastor in Las Vegas before moving back to Colorado. He loves sports, traveling, and rooms with high ceilings (since he’s 6’6”).

JustinBollis

JUSTIN BULLIS

Venue Worship Leader

Justin describes his style as a mixture of contemporary and contemplative, influenced by both indie rock and jazz with some classical elements sprinkled in, too. He and his high school sweetheart Karissa have three kids. He is passionate about bringing the church together to worship through music and loves to reinvigorate hymns in contemporary style. Don’t be afraid to ask him about his large collection of Bert (from Sesame Street) knick-knacks given to him by friends to commemorate Justin’s previous eyebrow style: the unibrow.

NateReese

NATE REESE

Venue Worship Leader

Nate has been leading worship since he was a teenager. He desires to do everything he can to eliminate distractions and help people engage with God, regardless of where they are in their faith journey. He and his wife Jill have four kids and he enjoys rooting for the Broncos, climbing 14ers, and spending time outdoors. He’s an avid seat-belt wearer ever since a car accident taught him that flying isn’t part of his skill set.

Frequently Asked Questions

Who is The Mill for?

The Mill is for members, regular attendees, and new guests who elect to worship in this smaller venue.

What will happen to youth ministry?

We love our youth at Mission Hills and The Mill will provide a great opportunity for our high school and middle school students to engage with the larger Mission Hills Church family. Youth ministry will continue to meet in The Mill space during the week, but will not be meeting there on Sunday mornings.

We’re inviting our students to both receive and respond to God by worshiping and serving alongside other believers in The Mill. Both adults and students will have an opportunity to pause and receive from God during one service and then respond to what God invites us into by serving at a second service.

When are services in The Mill?

For now, The Mill will host services on Sundays at 9:15 AM and 11:00 AM.

What is the capacity for each Mill service?

The Mill will seat between 150-250 people.

Will it be quieter?

Yes, by its nature this will be a quieter environment.
