Student Ministry Summer Camp

June 11 - June 15

Every moment spent at FUGE is intentional. Camp programming is designed to take students out of their normal routine and place them into an environment that is focused on life-change through a relationship with Christ. The whole purpose of this camp is for students to go deeper with God, create lasting memories, make new friends, and have TONS of fun!

Registration Details

WHEN | June 11 – 15 (Saturday 6 AM – Wednesday 6 PM)
WHERE | Glorieta, New Mexico at Centrifuge Camp [VISIT THEIR WEBSITE]
WHO | All students who completed 6th through 11th grade in the 2021-2022 school year.
COST | $397 through May 1, $437 after May 1

CAMP THEME: MATCHLESS | The Bible is filled with stories of ordinary people God used in extraordinary ways to teach character and truth. Through Isaac’s life, we learn about sacrifice. Joseph’s life shows us the hard-fought beauty of forgiveness and reconciliation. Abraham’s story teaches us about obedience and forgiveness. From Esther, we learn how to be bold and courageous and take risks. One person in Scripture is the full and complete embodiment of every good trait any other character ever displayed – Jesus. He is the MATCHLESS ONE. Join us for FUGE Camps 2022 as we study the lives of these well-known Old Testament characters and see the story of Jesus foreshadowed in their lives.

Other Info
Camper Safety is our priority!

The safety of our students is always our first priority when planning any event or retreat. The following steps are just some of the ways we do our best to provide a safe experience for everyone.

• We always maintain a minimum of a 10 to 1 ratio of students to leaders
• Leaders are never permitted to be alone with a student in any situation
• All of our small group leaders undergo a thorough background and reference check
• We provide our own non-emergency first aid and medical care as this is not provided by the camp
• Glorieta will provide emergency response care if needed
• Glorieta camps provide certified lifeguards for their lakefront
• Transportation will be provided by CDL certified charter bus drivers

Camp Structure

Each student will receive a bible study group that is specific to their grade for next year. Bible study groups are not church specific, but each contain several students from each church in them. Students may not switch bible study groups at camp.

Students will also be able to choose “track times” for camp. These are the activities they will be doing during the Track A and Track B times on the daily schedule. Out of their 6 choices, students will receive 2 tracks and participate in the same ones each day.

Please see the camp schedule for more information regarding the daily schedule at camp.

Cabin Structure

Glorieta has great rooming accommodations for camps! Rooms are set up with bunk beds that range from 4-20 people per room. Rooming assignments will be done via roommate requests during the registration process and honored as best as we can.

Staying Connected at Camp

We recommend students do not bring their cell phone, but they are permitted to have them at camp with limited access. There is a special texting group just for Summer Camp parents to join as well. You will receive photos, updates and daily recaps of camp as well as our approximate time of when we will arrive back at Mission Hills. Follow this link (https://www.remind.com/join/mhcfuge22) and enter your first and last name, phone number and select “parent” and you’re all set!

Other Helpful Information

• Check-in will take place on June 11 between 6:00-6:30 AM. Please do not arrive earlier than 6:00 AM. Buses are scheduled to leave at 7:00 AM. Check-in will take place in the lobby and students will hang out in the Grove until we leave. Please eat breakfast before coming or pack it for the bus. Vehicles should return from camp at church on June 15 around 6:00 PM and drop off by the Grove.

• Most housing at Glorieta does not have air conditioning. We will provide fans for each room as needed but it is recommended that each student brings a battery-operated fan for personal use in the rooms.

• Glorieta’s Food Service team is very willing to work with your child’s dietary needs. During the registration process, please inform us of any needs your student has. Glorieta’s kitchen is 100% nut free. If your student has any specific dietary needs, please indicate them on this form here: https://missionhills.wufoo.com/forms/z1vp661c114bs9d/

• Medication: If your child will be taking any medication over the weekend, they will need to bring them in a zip-lock bag with their name on it. You will turn all medication in (even non-prescription medications) during check-in and fill out an instruction form. Medications will be distributed during meals and at night. There will be reminders given to students to get their medications and we will do our best to get your student their medication but ultimately it is the responsibility of the student to come to us. Please remember to pick up your medication after camp.

• First Aid: Due to size of this camp, Glorieta does not provide non-emergency first aid for groups. This means that they do not hand out Band-Aids and ice packs to students, as that is our responsibility. However, they will assist in any emergency situations if they occur.

• Contacting Students: If you need to get in touch with your student during camp, or have any concerns, please contact Dave Eloe (303-525-1004) or Carly Lepard (630-709-0200) for High School and Richard Koch (319-242-1935) or Christy Peterson (303-521-8144) for Middle School. We will do our best to respond to you!
