Student Ministry Summer Camp

Camp programming is designed to take students out of their normal routine and place them into an environment that is focused on life-change through a relationship with Christ. COVID-19 Information
Our hope and the camp’s hope is that this summer will feel close to normal. However, as of March 10, 2021, here are some specific guidelines that Centrifuge Camps will operate with for COVID-19. We share these guidelines not out of fear, but to make you aware of everything that Centrifuge Camp is currently planning at this time.

  1. Masks will be required in all indoor spaces (dining hall before and after eating, worship center, classroom spaces). In a few instances, masks may be required outdoors.
  2. Masks will not be required in these spaces: to and from camp in vehicles, personal rooms at camp, outdoors in most instances, while eating and drinking.
  3. A COVID-19 test will not be required to attend camp.
  4. If a participant exhibits any symptoms of COVID-19, the camp will give us an isolation area for them and parents will be contacted with the suggestion of receiving a rapid COVID-19 test.
  5. // If the test is negative, students may be allowed to return to camp, depending on symptoms of illness.
// If the test is positive, all students who were exposed to the symptomatic student within 6 feet and for more than 15 minutes and the student who received a positive COVID-19 test will be sent home.
// If the student is unable to receive a rapid test, the student must return home regardless.

  6. If any participant is fully vaccinated (with a completion of a 2-dose or 1-dose vaccine) more than 2 weeks before the start of camp, there will be no need to quarantine after exposure. If you choose to have your student vaccinated, please provide documentation with your camp forms.
  7. // This is the same for any participant who tested positive for COVID-19 within the past 3 months and has fully recovered.

What should I bring?

Please try to limit your students packing to one bag/suitcase and something to hold bedding. Your student should be able to carry all of their belongings by themselves to their cabin in one trip.

Packing List: Fitted twin sheet, pillow and pillowcase, blanket, breakfast for the trip there (or eat before you come), sturdy tennis shoes (they will get dirty), swimsuit (tankini or one-piece for girls), flip flops, PJs, pants, shirts, undergarments, Bible, notebook, pen, toiletries, medication, lake towel, shower towel, modest summer clothing, favorite sports team/athletic attire for Mega Relay, two masks/face coverings per-day, a reusable water bottle, a flashlight, personal battery-operated fan, and money for snacks/souvenirs (optional).

Please don’t bring: Electronics beyond cell phones (we recommend no cell phones), knives, matches/lighters, drugs, alcohol, anything you would be sad to lose or have broken, bad attitudes, prank supplies.

If your student brings a cell phone, they are not allowed to have it during these times on the schedule: Morning Celebration, Bible Study, Worship, Night Life, Recreation, and Track Times.
