6th Grade Adventure Camp

June 3 - June 5

ADVENTURE CAMP 2024

To best integrate your student into the Middle School Ministry, we are offering a 3-day Adventure Camp for all incoming 6th grade students! This camp will take place during the day on Monday, June 3 through Wednesday, June 5 and is jam packed with fun, adventure, connection time, and faith-growing opportunities. This will also be an awesome opportunity for your student to get to know other incoming 6th graders as well as our Middle School staff during the summer time.

Registration Details

WHEN | Monday, June 3 – Wednesday, June 5 (during the day, not overnight)
WHERE | Activities in and around the Denver metro area
WHO | All incoming 6th grade students
COST | $180 per person
Registration will close on Friday, May 24.

WHAT TO EXPECT

Adventure Camp Schedule
Check-in will be at 8:30 AM in the M Classrooms (by the Admin Entrance) each day, and we will leave the church at 9 AM for our daily activity. We will arrive back to Mission Hills at or around 2:30 PM for check-out each day.

We will be stopping for lunch each day; lunch money must be provided by parents. Mission Hills will not cover the cost of lunch for students.

Tuesday, June 4
Activity: Zorbing

Wednesday, June 5
Activity: Elitch Water Gardens

Attendance Policy

Due to the high demand and limited spots for Adventure Camp, we are requiring all students to attend all three days to register for camp. This also includes early pick-ups from activities. In order to provide a safe structure for camp, we have to require that all students be in attendance for the duration of camp. If you would like your student to attend, please schedule other activities around Adventure Camp. Thank you for your understanding. What should I bring?

MONDAY | Ropes Course/Epic Sky Trek
Required items:
– Closed toe shoes / Athletic shoes
– Money for lunch at either Wendy’s or Burger King
– Athletic Clothes
– Water bottle
Optional items:
– Sunglasses
– Sunscreen

TUESDAY | Zorbing at MAC
Required items:
– Adventure Camp backpack
– Money for lunch at Chick-fil-A
– Water bottle
– Tennis shoes or similar (no flip flops or sandals)

WEDNESDAY | Elitch Water Gardens
Required items:
– Adventure Camp backpack
– Towel and dry clothes
– Refillable water bottle
Optional items:
**If gluten free, bring a sack lunch**
– Flip Flops
– Additional snacks
– Money for snacks/souvenirs

 

Refund Policy

Due to our payment obligations, no refunds will be given after Wednesday, May 22. Sorry for any inconvenience this might cause you. There are some instances, such as a family tragedy OR quarantine due to COVID-19, that a refund may be possible, but not guaranteed.
