At times every one of us will deal with loss, fear, or uncertainty; it’s part of our journey in life. Hope Groups are a network of support groups designed to walk alongside people at Mission Hills and in our community who are hurting, to equip them with tools to deal with struggles – tools to increase their faith, find hope and strength, and give them joy in the journey.

“Faith doesn’t mean an absence of fear. It means facing fear and trusting that God’s goodness is greater.” – Matt Chandler

Next 13-week GriefShare session | FEBRUARY 5 – MAY 21

It may be hard to be optimistic about the future right now. If you’ve lost a spouse, child, family member, or friend, you’ve probably found that there aren’t many people who understand the deep hurt you feel. That’s what GriefShare is all about. It is a support group for people grieving the loss of someone close. The leaders understand what you are experiencing because they have experienced it themselves. They want to offer you comfort and hope during this difficult time.

For further information please contact Marleen Wasson.

MONDAYS | 6:30 – 8:30 PM | ROOM M12 | COST: $15

Next 13-week Recovering Redemption session begins Spring of 2018

God has more– we’re settling for less. It’s time to start living like we believe in the ongoing power of redemption.

The Bible is clear that God intends for his people to experience life abundantly. So why are things such a mess– even for Christians?

In Recovering Redemption, Matt Chandler gets to the root of brokenness and our destructive patterns of behavior. We must reorient our lives around the gospel. With relentless grace, Matt unpacks true repentance and doctrines of justification, adoption, and sanctification with a remarkably practical application.

For more information on Recovering Redemption please contact Lynne Schlottman.

6:30 – 8:30 PM | KID’S GARAGE | COST: $15

13-weeks starting January 15, 2018 | Registration for this 13-week session has ended. Check back regularly for more details on our next session.

This 13 week Gospel-Centered “Life” Recovery Program by Matt Chandler – takes people to the root of sin and suffering in order to embrace the freedom found only in Christ’s redemption. Potentially life-changing experiences are brought about by in-depth personal assessments, insightful teaching videos, and honest interactions with a group leader and mentor.

STEPS – is designed to help people recover from the things that keep them from moving forward in their spiritual journey. When most people hear the word “recovery” they instantly think of major addictions. But the truth is we all struggle with something that we need to recover from like anger, greed, lust, fear, anxiety, un-forgiveness and many other things that keep us from being free to live life abundantly as a child of God. Childcare is provided.

For more information, contact Lynne Schlottman.
