Facility Director

Department: Ministry Services
Status: Salaried/Full-Time
Reports to: Ministry Services Pastor

PURPOSE STATEMENT
To be responsible for the overall ministry of your area while striving for a balanced emphasis on the church mission statement. To provide inspiration, support and training for the ministry and to help discover and equip those whom God is directing into this ministry. In addition, participate in providing pastoral care for those you lead in the ministry.

QUALIFICATIONS

• Mature Christian who meets biblical qualifications for leadership (1 Tim. 3:1-13)
• A biblical understanding of the importance of stewardship within the church body. Understanding ministry within the church
• Knowledgeable regarding the involvement of the lay members in ministry, as well as, understanding the concept that pastors/directors are called to equip others to do the work of the ministry
• Ability to cast a vision for the ministry and design creative and innovative ways to further the ministry
• Ability to work with people, building teams, promoting teamwork, and delegating responsibility
• Ability to recruit, motivate, and equip staff and lay volunteers
• Ability to create, develop and train leadership
• Ability to evangelize and disciple
• Endorse and support the Church Covenant, Statement of Faith, Articles of Incorporation, Bylaws, Operating Procedures Manual
• Have a strong working knowledge of computer systems related to business functions
• Have a general knowledge of effective maintenance processes
• Verifiable record of effectiveness in organization and task management

RESPONSIBILITIES

• Provides over-all vision and guidance for your area of ministry in accordance with the church mission statement
• Recruit volunteers and oversee your area of ministry which will help to accomplish the overall vision of the church
• Be available when pastoral care needs arise
• Raise awareness of the ministry through varying communication
• Oversee maintenance/custodial personnel and functions
• Oversee building maintenance and related custodial functions
• Develop systematic plan for maintaining the building(s)
• Oversee church grounds maintenance, snow removal
• Oversee church vehicles maintenance and use
• Responsible for annual inspections of the building (elevator, fire, etc.)
• Oversee building use, fees, procedures and coordinate functions
• Includes oversight of the event calendar system
• Assist in oversight of Information Technologies of the church
• Assist with coordinating the Security Team scheduling and communication
• Other responsibilities as required by the Ministry Services Pastor

RELATIONSHIPS

• Reports to Ministry Services Pastor
• Meets weekly with Ministry Services Pastor
• Participates in Staff Meetings and Staff Retreats

Life Center Coordinator

Department: Life Center
Status: Salaried/Full-Time
Reports to: Life Center Coordinator

PURPOSE STATEMENT

Personal Characteristics

• Knowledgeable in regards to the involvement of the lay members in ministry, as well as an understanding of the concept that pastors/directors are called to equip others to do the work of the ministry
• Ability to cast a vision for the ministry and design creative and innovative ways to further the ministry
• Ability to work with people, building teams, promoting teamwork, and delegating responsibility
• Ability to recruit, motivate, and equip staff and lay volunteers
• Ability to create, develop and train leadership
• Ability to evangelize and disciple

Professional Characteristics

• Education: Bachelor degree and relevant Christian training (Master degree in Mental Health Field Preferred)
• 3+ years of ministry experience
• Bilingual in Spanish and English (Skill Set Required)
• Strong skills with Microsoft Office
• Flexible day and evening hours for the weekdays and weekends
• Excellent communication, leadership, people skills, and team-oriented
• Problem-solving skills, and ability to handle stress constructively
• Committed self-starter attitude, ability to continually define and refine MHC role in the areas of outreach and evangelism

RESPONSIBILITIES

Principal responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
• Provide overall vision and guidance for your area of ministry in accordance with the Church mission statement
• Assist in Life Center Logistics – Operations, Admin-Reception, Educational ministries, Counseling, and Legal Aid Clinic among other activities
• Assist in the recruitment of volunteers and oversee your area of ministry which will help to accomplish the overall vision of the Church
• Be available when pastoral care needs arise
• Raise awareness of the ministry through varying communication
• Participate in Departmental Ministry Budget Plan development
• Works closely with Outreach Local Director
• Coordinate and oversee volunteer efforts at the Life Center through recruitment, communication, and training of new volunteers.
• Assist the Outreach Local Director with day-to-day operations, including project proposals and front desk management
• Oversee reimbursements, check requests
• Collaborate with the communications colleague and the MHC connections staff about Life Center opportunities and volunteer involvement.
• Provide weekly updates to Outreach Local Director

RELATIONSHIPS
• Reports to Outreach Local Director
• Meets weekly with Outreach Local Director and Outreach Team as available
• Participates in Staff Meetings, Ministry Staff Meetings and Staff Retreats

Paid Childcare Workers

Department: Kids Ministry
Status: Hourly/Part-Time
Reports to: Childcare Coordinator

PURPOSE STATEMENT
To assist the Childcare Coordinator with classroom responsibilities and the care and overall safety of children in a Christ-centered atmosphere.

QUALIFICATIONS

Spiritual Characteristics

• Exhibits a personal commitment to and a growing relationship with Jesus Christ.
• Demonstrates godliness and strong spiritual discipline.
• Endorse and support the Church Covenant, Statement of Faith, Articles of Incorporation, Bylaws, Operating Procedures Manual.

• Demonstrates a clear commitment to and love for children.
• Team player, servant’s heart, active learner, and flexible.

Professional Characteristics

• Partnering skills, self-motivated, and communication skills.
• Serves as a self-starter, a contributor, and servant leader.

RESPONSIBILITIES
• Provide a safe learning environment for children.
• Interact with children.
• Set up and clean up rooms.
• Assist children with bathroom needs, including changing diapers (18 years or older).
• Follow guidelines and schedule provided by Childcare Coordinator.
• Be on time, flexible, and dependable.

RELATIONSHIPS
• Reports directly to the Childcare Coordinator.
• Relates closely with other paid childcare workers.
