CARE

Care

Mission Hills Church is committed to a provisions ministry of assisting families and individuals in financial need. Financial assistance, when needed, is short-term with consideration given to one’s ability to handle or manage his or her finances. Although it is the desire of the Church to help all families and individuals, insofar as funds are available to do so, extending financial assistance is based upon the following priority: (1) members; (2) regular attendees; (3) non-attendees; and (4) the community at large. It is the policy of the Church to discourage the giving of cash to recipients.

The Care Fund is the means for providing such financial assistance. This is a special donor restricted fund whose primary source of funding is special offerings taken in association with monthly communion services.

Information related to and financial assistance requests for families and individuals may be initiated through adult congregations, small groups, or other ministries of the Church. The Care questionnaire and budget form are required to receive assistance.

While meeting the physical and financial needs of families and individuals is central to the purpose of the Care Fund, the spiritual needs of the recipient(s) are to be addressed in conjunction with the disbursement of financial assistance. Pastoral and financial guidance as well as professional counseling services are part of the Care process.

Mission Hills Church Financial Assistance Request Form

Mission Hills Church is committed to coming alongside our church family in times of dire need. Those requesting assistance must also be willing to receive financial, family, or emotional counseling. We can help with basic needs such as housing (rent/mortgage), utilities (excluding TV/Cable), food, and basic transportation. You will be contacted within one week of submitting the request to schedule an appointment with one of our counselors (45-minute appointment). The Counselor will determine which of the financial requests (listed below) Mission Hills Church will be able to assist with, if any. They will discuss any decisions and the reasoning behind those decisions, with you either at the appointment or via email/phone after the appointment. Any assistance approved from the Care fund will only be payable to vendors, homeowners associations, etc., rather than to the individual requesting assistance.

Submission of this form is not a guarantee of services at Mission Hills Counseling Center. At times cases are referred out at the discretion of the Director of Mission Hills Counseling Center.
