Meet Our Partners in Africa

Mission Hills partners with missionaries because we want to share the good news our neighbors next door and with those across the globe. Jesus said he came to seek and save the lost. During his time on earth, he served people – he taught them, fed them, healed them, and befriended them. We believe he is calling us to serve the lost in the same ways. Whether you decide to participate in a short-term trip, partner financially, or pray for our global missionaries, you can be part of what God is doing around the world.

We Work with ACM INTERNATIONAL

Our KEY FOCUS AREA is KIDS AT RISK
There are an estimated 100 million street children in the world; nearly 500,000 of them live on the streets of Kenya. TRU Africa partners with local churches to minister to these neglected and ostracized boys. The Maxwells minister to about 350 street boys throughout the month utilizing a Four step program. They are transforming the lives of street youth through education, career training, social activities, and counseling. The Maxwells have been serving in Kenya for six years. They have three children: Emma, Madelyne, and Caden.

We ARE CHURCH ALLIANCE FOR SOCIAL TRANSFORMATION

Our KEY FOCUS AREAS are COMMUNITY TRANSFORMATION + KIDS AT RISK + LEADERS OF THE FUTURE
C.A.S.T. mobilizes and equips local churches for compassionate action among the poor in their communities. This is accomplished by developing a vision for compassionate action in the leadership and church at large, and providing practical opportunities for the congregation to be involved in such compassionate action. The intention of this compassionate action is to empower people in those communities to break out of poverty and other social dysfunctions, to effect positive holistic transformation in families and communities, bringing them to a place of spiritual, psychological, relational and economic redemption.

WHY I WENT

The Mission’s Trip to Rwanda was God’s choice for me to go there and serve. I know this because He made it very clear to me by removing the obstacles in front of me that I thought were obstacles.

God’s love and grace allowed me to build a rapport with the children and teachers to let the love of God minister to them and show them how much they were loved and cared about. They were so grateful that we had come so far to spend time teaching, loving, and sharing the love of God with them. There were times where there was a language barrier; it was then we saw the love of God moving through music, song, and activities with the children.

You think you are going over there to be a blessing to them and find out that you were blessed so much more. My life will forever be transformed by this experience and the many lessons learned.
