Parent / Child Dedications

Dedicating your child and yourself to God is fundamental to family life. As parents you are committing yourselves to teach your child the truths of God’s Word. It is a commitment to put God first in your home. We pray that one day these truths will lead to your child’s salvation and a desire to live their life for Jesus. It is also a reminder to our church family of the importance of children and our shared responsibility in their spiritual growth.

The dedication of a child does not guarantee a child’s salvation and is not infant baptism.

If Mission Hills is your church home and you are committed to raising your child in the ways of the Lord, please follow the steps below to participate in a parent/child dedication service.

Step One: Complete the Parent/Child Dedication Application and submit it electronically, via email to Kim Hanson at This email address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it. or in person to the church office or during a weekend service.

Step Two: You will attend the Parent/Child Orientation scheduled on a Wednesday evening prior to the dedication service. Unless you are a single parent, it is important that both parents attend the orientation.
