Dedicating your child and yourself to God is fundamental to family life. As parents you are committing yourselves in the presence of many witnesses to teach your child the truths of God’s Word. These truths will one day, we pray, lead to their salvation. The dedication of a child does not guarantee a child’s salvation. It is also a regular reminder to our church family of the importance of children and our shared responsibility in their spiritual growth.
For more information or if you would like to participate in a Parent/Child Dedication, please contact This email address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it. . You will also be asked to attend a 30 minute dedication meeting on a weeknight prior to the dedication service. Parent/Child Dedications for 2012:
Sunday, May 13, 2012 - 8:00, 9:30, and 11:00 a.m. services (Wednesday evening, May 2 at 7 p.m. in the Infants Room will be the mandatory meeting.)
Sunday, September 23, 2012 - 8:00, 9:30, and 11:00 a.m. services (Wednesday, September 12 at 7 p.m. in the Infants Room will be the mandatory meeting.)
You may check in your children 20 minutes before each service is scheduled to begin.
We have a check-in system called KidCheck that will allow you to pre-register your child on-line. Every Sunday when you check in at KidCheck your child will be given a computer generated name tag that lists their name, class and any allergies they might have. The parent will be given a "Guardian Receipt" that has a random 4 digit security code to use in picking up your child. This code matches the code on your child's name tag. Each parent will be given a key tag to provide for faster service when checking in. All children – infants through fifth grade – must be checked in and picked up by a parent or guardian. NO CHILDREN will be released on their own. Thank you for understanding that this policy is in place for your child’s safety.
Please respect our volunteers by picking up your child no later than 10 minutes after worship service or adult Sunday school dismisses. Thank you.
We provide a fun, yet safe classroom environment for your children.
We screen all volunteers with an application that includes a background check. We train and develop our leaders to create a safe and loving environment for your children.
In the event of an emergency or building evacuation, you will be directed by a Mission Hills Staff member or Security team member.
To protect the health of families and staff, we ask that you do not bring sick children to Infants & Toddlers, RahaPlace or Kids’ Sidewalk. Please keep children home until they are free from the following symptoms for at least 24 hours:
Fever
Persistent cough
Unexplained rashes
Thick or green runny nose
Pink eye or other eye infections
Vomiting or diarrhea
In the event you realize your child may have been contagious with a serious illness after they have been in the Infants & Toddlers, RahaPlace or Kids’ Sidewalk rooms, please contact Nancy Franks at 303-794-3564 so we can notify our families.
In the event that you need to be reached during the service in regards to your child, we will text message your cell phone with the location where you are needed. If you do not have a cell phone with you, please let the classroom greeter/teacher know where you will be located during the morning.
Children (2 years - 4th grade) are kept in the classroom or grade they were during the school year until Promotion Sunday (beginning of summer). Please honor our policy in keeping your children in their assigned classroom.
Our 5th graders will be promoted to Junior High in May (date TBD).
