Raha means "joy" in Swahili and we believe it is our responsibility to create a place of “joy” that is safe, engaging, and filled with energy, where kids actively participate in worship and experience God’s love. Before they leave RahaPlace, we want them to know that:
God Made Me
God Loves Me
Jesus Wants to be My Friend Forever
Each service includes curriculum based activities and/or crafts, large group interactive worship, creative Bible stories told through live teachers or media, playground time when time allows and a snack. The food items consist of water, animal crackers, goldfish, crackers, pretzels, and dry cereal.
Please make us aware of any food allergies or dietary restrictions your child may have.
If your child is potty training, please communicate that to the classroom greeter and provide a labeled bag with a pull-up and change of clothes!
After you have completed the check-in process, simply wave a quick good-bye and leave the classroom. It is common for younger children to struggle with separation anxiety. Our volunteers will calm the child and reassure them that you will return. If your child continues to cry or struggle for an extended period of time, we will text you.
